I filled the box with 25 gold veggies I already had and then tried to grow 25 gold to meet both sides of the quest. Despite the story saying Joja's prices are lower than Pierre's, for the player it's more expensive to buy from Joja. Except for sunflower seeds, everything else is cheaper at Pierre's, so it's not worth buying from Joja even if you have some memey hate for Pierrre or whatever.I've been on the hunt for a mod to allow me to romance Pierre and allow my husband to romance Jodi.
